There's no reason why this application can't run in a window. In firefox i can run a few windows to get real work done. I can even drag "tabs" (a whole page) from one window to the next  . I WANT THAT! But you can't even think about adding that ability until you get this thing to run properly. Make it run in a window!
In fact if I tried hard enough I could find an application that would make this run in a window. Is there currently a way? Should I solve this and post the hack solution? (Also, I hate my mouse arrow but that will be solved once you figure out how to make this run in a window)

The 8 page browser is about as useful as firefox stuck with only 8 tabs to switch in between. Give us as many or as few windows as we want! Make it as easy to use as firefox. If I middle click a link I want it to open on another 3d page.
8?!?! Did an angel come to you in the desert and give you this number? What's the point of being stuck with 8?

Speaking of the 8 web page 3d room, what's the advantage? I feel like a tank slowly trying to waddle in a circle. If that's going to work, give it momentum. I should be able to spin it in one throw. Give us options. I hate the room.
I'd rather have a dome in front of me that shows all of my sites that are active. And when i click on one, it would zoom in.
I'd rather have them fan out like folding cards.
I'd rather have them cascade.
And when I'm in full screen mode, I want to see my active sites at the top of the page as tabs.

You're not in the business of novelty software, are you? All of my finances are controlled online. This needs to be a tool people can depend on with their lives.

The requirement to run full screen is because of the way webpages are currently rendered. This limitation will be addressed in due course.

Thank you for the critique, we share your frustration that we are unable to move forwards with this project as rapidly as we would all like.

The 8 page carousel is an experiment. It can be replaced - please see developer board for details of how you can download the scene, modify and replace it with an alternative.

Also, it doesn't sound like you've visited our 3D website yet - open the favourites menu, then select Advance Software 3D website. The graphics are prototype, but should hopefully show you that the technology is far less restrictive than you might first assume.

Re-cursor : The entire UI is configurable (modelled in 3dsmax). Details of how our template UIs can be enhanced/modified/replaced will be posted in the new year.

Got to start somewhere ! This is our initial interpretation.

Best wishes,
Steve.

Exciting. I'm going to mess with that.
I've gone through the tutorial several times and I might be having a compatibility issue. So I haven't been able to produce anything yet.

It seems that the two pdf files didn't explain the process of uploading the site to my server but I assume I just have to upload the directory.

Can you give some details - what is it that makes you think you might be having a compatibility issue.

Please ensure you've installed the latest build (1699) as there were indeed issues with 1698

Build 1699 is available from here : http://advance-software.com/products/

Re: The process of uploading the site to your server

Yes, it's almost exactly the same as html uploads, except you must ensure you upload everything in binary mode because the xsg files are compressed.

Also note that textures are saved into a .texture subdirectory by default, which also needs uploading.

Windows ftp client has difficulties with directories starting with a . sometimes.

I suggest using a better ftp client, such as this one : http://www.smartftp.com/download

Hope this helps. Please post more details if you continue to have problems so we can determine the cause.

I will but that's for another thread. If i can solve the problem on my own, then it wasn't a problem with your software.
